Job description

Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders (DCND), one of the largest physician owned and operated private practices in Ohio, is seeking a Medical Center Representative to be based in our Beavercreek office. The Medical Center Representative is responsible for greeting incoming patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, processing medical records and performing various clerical duties in a professional manner. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a full-time (M-F, no holidays or weekends!) outpatient practice, collaborating with DCND, Inc. physicians, researchers, and other clinical staff.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay - The pay range for the Medical Center Representative is $16.00 - $22.50 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.

Our Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Has previous experience in a medical office setting
  • Knowledgeable of HIPPA, OSHA, and electronic medical records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Patient Support: Checks patients in and out for appointments, registers new patients, ensures all documentation is completed properly for the visit, communicates after-visit care instructions, and schedules additional appointments
  • Office Oversight: Opens and closes the office, ensures that waiting rooms are clean and orderly, ensures all equipment is functioning correctly, accepts and distributes mail/packages
  • Financial & Billing Support: Collects co-pays, balances, bill payments and reconciles payments collected.
  • Medical Records - Updates demographic information, supports medical records and updates insurance packages as needed
