Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to provide primary technical support to end users and maintain the reliability, security, and performance of company computer systems. This role plays a critical part in supporting daily operations by resolving technical issues, managing system access, and implementing effective IT solutions across the organization.

The ideal candidate is highly servicefocused, technically proficient, and comfortable supporting both office and operational environments. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, operating systems, printing, and application installation.
  • Assist users in effectively utilizing computer systems and applications, including word processing, email, and operating platforms.
  • Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain new systems, applications, and software upgrades.
  • Manage user account information, group access, permissions, and system rights.
  • Respond to and resolve technical support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and repair computer hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including Microsoft Windows 11 and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure uptime, stability, and reliability.
  • Assist with managing and securing network systems, user accounts, and access permissions.
  • Identify system errors or vulnerabilities and implement fixes promptly.
  • Support and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security standards across the organization.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support IT projects and technology initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to system configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Stay current with technology trends, tools, and best practices to improve system efficiency and security.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in MIS, IT support, or a related technical support role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Proven troubleshooting skills involving hardware, software, and enduser systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customerservice skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting both office and operational or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with IT documentation and asset management best practices.
