Job Summary

As a Desktop Engineer intern, you will be provided an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the technology tools and systems that keep our organization running smoothly. Working alongside experienced teammates, you will assist with device management platforms, hardware and software configuration, and end-user technical support. You'll learn how devices connect securely to the corporate network, support software deployment and system updates, and help troubleshoot technical issues. As an intern you will also assist with help desk activities, support employees with hardware and software questions, and gain exposure to IT security, system administration, and technology best practices in an enterprise environment. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with configuring, deploying, and supporting computers, software, and mobile devices.
  • Help maintain device management tools and support software installations and updates.
  • Learn and assist with automation, scripting, and technology improvement projects.
  • Support IT security initiatives, including device compliance and vulnerability remediation.
  • Provide technical support to employees by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to enhance technology services and the end-user experience. 
Education Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in MIS, CIS or a related field.  
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
  • Available for a 12-week internship during the summer
