Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the company's Accounting and Financial Applications, with primary emphasis on Oracle Financials Cloud (OFC) and related peripheral systems. This role focuses on day-to-day functional support, close-cycle assistance, testing, and incremental improvements across ERP and EPM platforms, including OneStream. The analyst partners closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT to ensure system reliability, accurate financial processing, and continuous improvement of financial processes.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Functional & Production Support
    • Provide functional support for Oracle Financials Cloud modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Projects, and Procurement.
    • Support peripheral financial applications such as OneStream, Concur, and financial interfaces with third-party systems.
    • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including subledger support, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot routine system processing, workflow, interface, and data load issues, escalating complex items when appropriate.
    • Coordinate with banks, vendors, and IT teams on interface issues, system updates, and patching support.
  • Business Analysis & Continuous Improvement
    • Maintain regular communication with business users to identify system issues, reporting needs, and high-value improvement opportunities.
    • Document business and reporting requirements at a level of detail sufficient to support configuration changes, fixes, and testing.
    • Assist with requirements gathering, solution design, and testing activities for enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Analyze accounting and finance processes and help translate business needs into system and reporting requirements.
    • Participate in efforts to improve efficiency, controls, and effectiveness of financial processes within Oracle Financials Cloud.
  • Testing, Releases & System Support
    • Assist in managing and executing testing for patch updates, bundle releases, and system enhancements.
    • Support regression testing efforts across ERP and EPM applications.
    • Validate data accuracy and processing results through reconciliations, variance analysis, and system checks.
  • Security, Reporting & Tools
    • Support user access requests and assist with maintaining security configurations in accordance with segregation of duties (SOD) controls.
    • Assist with the design, validation, and support of standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and data extracts.
    • Utilize tools such as Oracle Financials Cloud, OneStream, Excel, and related reporting utilities to support analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Documentation, Communication & Training
    • Develop and maintain system documentation, job aids, and process guides.
    • Assist with end-user training and knowledge transfer as needed.
    • Track and manage assigned ServiceNow (or similar) tickets, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
    • Contribute to routine and ad hoc team status updates and presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, MIS, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting financial systems, including ERP and/or EPM applications.
  • Functional experience with Oracle Financials Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Exposure to EPM/CPM platforms such as OneStream, Oracle Hyperion, FCCS, HFM, ARCS, or FDMEE.
  • Solid accounting and business acumen with understanding of financial close and reporting processes.
  • Experience supporting production systems and participating in testing and release activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask across production support, enhancements, testing, and special projects with guidance.
  • Willingness to provide support outside normal business hours during close cycles, when necessary.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hands-on experience supporting OneStream workflows, data loads, or reporting.
  • Basic working knowledge of SQL or query tools for data review and validation.
  • Familiarity with Oracle security concepts and segregation of duties (SOD) controls.
  • Experience supporting financial interfaces, banking integrations, or third-party applications.
  • Experience using Excel add-ins such as Smart View or Quick View.
  • Exposure to reporting, automation, or RPA tools.
  • Demonstrated interest in developing deeper ERP and EPM functional and technical expertise.
