Job description

Proposed Salary Range: $14.42 - $20.73 per hour (Based on Experience)
Work Location: On-site (No remote or hybrid)
The Marketing Assistant assists in coordination of projects and activities for marketing products or services.
The Marketing Assistant should have the capability to read and interpret process information; and understand the impact their actions have on the quality objective.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Coordinates the updating and archiving of data for sales and marketing material
  • Maintains customer database and generates internal database information, such as lists and counts for direct marketing projects
  • Tracks, collates, and maintains inventory of marketing materials
  • Maintains inventory of photo work, artwork, and film, and maintains marketing literature, archive files, and sample files
  • Assist with Coordinating company website and content
  • Coordinates product samples and materials for sales team or customer service claims
  • Maintains records of completed P&Ls, RFAs, and artwork approval sheets
  • Assists in customer service customer inquiries, including product-related questions and customer warranty claims
  • Maintains records for our production inquiry system, including updated artwork files
  • Inputs information gathered from battery store audits in excel forms for bi-annual study
  • Assists with creating pricing addendum sheets from approved pricing requests
  • Assists with the Publisher Role with SNS and content creation/scheduling of content for applicable SNS channels
  • Assisting with the setup, facilitation, and completion of marketing events
  • Overseeing the design and graphics of marketing materials
  • Assists with conducting market research to better understand the marketing needs of the organization and its target audience
  • Provide support to marketing department
  • Assist with executing marketing strategy
  • Work with marketing team to manage brand and marketing initiatives

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAn associate degree is required in Marketing and one - three months experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Effectively communicate with fellow employees, orally and written.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply commonsense/logical understanding to perform instructions either provided by written, oral or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESComputer proficient. Ability to use office equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SNS scheduling management tools (Hootsuite or Other). High level of organization and attention to detail. Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment. Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts. Excellent time management skills.
