Job description


About This Role

The ideal candidate will work with children aged 5-12, Monday through Friday from 2-6 p.m. at our childcare center. This is a 5-day per week position.

This role involves working as an afternoon floating classroom teacher, providing care and support to our young students.


What You'll Do

Provide care and supervision to a group of children during afternoon hours, adhering to the daily schedule and following established guidelines.

Assist parents with pick-up and ensure a smooth transition for children.

Light cleaning and organizing at the end of the day to maintain a safe and tidy environment.

Flexibility is key, as the classroom will shift depending on the center's needs.

Ensure adherence to DHS rules and QRIS standards in all aspects of teaching and care.


Requirements

  • High School diploma


Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with children would be a valuable asset.

Additional higher education or training in early childhood education or a related field is a desirable qualification.

We are a ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church, a 3 STAR center, and strive to provide the highest quality of care to the families we serve. We are looking for honest and hard working people who love working with children and have a like minded view that this ministry is a mission field for the community we serve. We offer a full day program for infants through Pre-Kindergarten and an after-school program that services 4 elementary schools in our community.
