Job description

Ledcor is hiring an Equipment Coordinator to provide senior-level coordination and technical support for equipment readiness, maintenance execution, and fleet utilization across our U.S. mining operations. Reporting to the Equipment Manager, you will partner closely with operations, maintenance teams, vendors, and asset management to keep equipment running safely, reliably, and cost-effectively in a high-demand project environment.
You will use equipment data, maintenance history, and field input to identify risks, escalate constraints, and drive practical improvements that reduce downtime and support project delivery. This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable pulling reports and walking a yard-someone who communicates clearly, follows through, and keeps things moving.
Come and join the True-Blue team and apply today!

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate equipment readiness for mining operations including preventative maintenance schedules, repair priorities, inspections, and return-to-service timing
  • Monitor equipment availability, utilization, and downtime trends to identify risks to production and escalate high-impact issues with clear recommendations and timely updates
  • Work with field operations, maintenance teams, and vendors to resolve equipment constraints and support practical plans that keep crews and assets productive
  • Maintain accurate equipment records, work orders, inspection documentation, and utilization data in asset management and ERP systems; audit records and resolve discrepancies to ensure data integrity
  • Analyze maintenance and performance data to identify trends, cost drivers, and reliability improvement opportunities; prepare reporting that translates data into clear actions for operations and equipment leadership
  • Coordinate with mine site teams, maintenance planners, mechanics, vendors, and suppliers to support repair scheduling, parts availability, and service execution
  • Support compliance with U.S. mining, site-specific safety, inspection, and company equipment standards; participate in incident follow-up, audit preparation, and corrective actions as needed
  • Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance workflows, equipment tracking, communication routines, and reporting processes

Qualifications

  • College, trade, or technical diploma in Heavy Equipment, Diesel/Mechanical Technology, Mining Operations, Construction Management, or a related discipline-or an equivalent combination of training and field experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment coordination, maintenance planning, asset management, or heavy equipment operations, preferably in mining, heavy civil, or industrial project environments
  • Experience supporting mobile equipment fleets including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, and excavators is a strong asset
  • Strong working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, repair scheduling, parts coordination, and equipment readiness practices
  • Ability to analyze equipment utilization, downtime, and work order data to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Proficiency with ERP/asset management systems, work order platforms, telematics, Excel, and reporting tools (JDE and Coupa)
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to influence field teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders without direct authority
  • Valid driver's licence required; MSHA or site-specific safety training preferred or required depending on project location

Work Environment

  • Combination of office (majority), and active mine site environments; field presence required to support equipment readiness and operational priorities
  • Standard PPE required for site and yard visits
  • Travel required based on project needs and mine site support requirements (<25% of the time)
