Business Intelligence Analyst - Associate or Mid-Level

Boeing Defense, Space and Security(BDS)Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers(MS&B) division is hiring aBusiness Intelligence Analyst (Level 2 or 3) as we expand our division-alignedBusiness Analyticsteam to lead and manage the development of analytical tools to increase visibility of program performance and support data-driven decision making. In joining this team, you will have a critical part in the division's analytical transformation including program metric identification and development, KPI standardization and management, and descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics development and deployment. This role will be based inTukwila, WA.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops Business Intelligence information models, dashboards, metrics and reports utilizing standard technologies and methodologies.
  • Combines programming, SQL skills, best practices, strategic decision-making capabilities and business expertise to deliver efficient and scalable Business Intelligence solutions to improve engineering processes, engineering performance, business productivity and business outcomes.
  • Data Preprocessing and Cleaning: Ensure the quality and accuracy of large volumes of structured and unstructured data using SQL or other coding languages.
  • Develop ETL pipelines, ensuring high-quality data capture.
  • Supports establishment of strategic direction of descriptive analytics for the division and functional partners, including identifying opportunities for analytical solution development
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide accurate visibility of program and functional performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and business objectives.
  • Partner with stakeholders and internal customer to ensure follow up action for issue resolution.
  • Clearly articulate technical concepts and information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effectively train individuals on how to utilize analytical tools, ensuring clear understanding of the information

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Level 2

  • 3+ years of experience in identifying and communicating business requirements with cross-functional and/or cross-business teams
  • 1+ year of experience with database technologies using SQL or PL/SQL
  • 1+ year of experience in designing/building visualizations within Tableau
  • 1+ year of experience in data analysis algorithms (e.g. data mining, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, text mining, visual analytics) and building Descriptive, Predictive and Prescriptive models
  • 1+ year of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)
  • 1+ year of experience working with engineering data

  • 5+ years of experience in identifying and communicating business requirements with cross-functional and/or cross-business teams
  • 3+ years of experience with database technologies using SQL or PL/SQL

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master's degree or higher, study in a technical field (i.e. Computer Science, Information Management, etc.)
  • Experience with building ETL pipelines
  • Understanding of aerospace engineering processes and data
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry
  • Experience with R or Python data visualization packages (i.e. Shiny, Dash, Streamlit)
  • Strong Cloud background, specifically in Azure and Azure Managed Services
  • Experience in Dev Ops: CI/CD pipelines
  • Level 2: 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
