Job description

Harrison Western was founded in 1968 and has provided superior design and construction services to the mining and tunneling industries for over 50 years, as well as providing geotechnical and other unique services to civil projects. Headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado, we have completed over $2 billion of mining and construction development projects that range geographically from the Arctic to the Andes.


Position Summary:

Laborers work under the direction of crew leads, foreman or superintendents performing physical activities in support of completing construction work.


Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist crew leader with construction, reconstruction, and maintenance work
  • Follow and adhere to Harrison Western safety procedures and techniques
  • Keep the worksite clean and safe
  • Follows project instructions from crew lead, foreman or superintendent
  • Ensure regulated and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn
  • Follows all health and safety policy and regulations including company policies, OHSA and MSHA
  • Operates hand and power tools of all types to complete daily tasks
  • Unloads tools, prepares site materials, sets up equipment and general job site organization
  • Cleans and clears debris and hazardous materials
  • Loads, or identify materials, machinery or tools, distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications and according to prescribed safety features
  • Operates heavy equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required skills:

  • 2+ years construction experience either above or underground
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the nation
  • Ability to take direction from leadership
  • Ability to recognize safety risks and hazards
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Work in standing, sitting or other physical positions
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
  • Ability to obtain ATF possessor preferred
