Position Overview

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient inspection, operation, and basic servicing of heavy mobile and plant equipment in support of aggregate production. This role supports excavation, hauling, processing, stockpiling, and housekeeping activities while helping maintain production targets and a strong safety culture.


What You'll Do

  • Safely operate heavy equipment such as haul trucks, water trucks, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, dredges, and portable plant equipment.
  • Perform required pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and promptly report issues.
  • Support plant operations through material handling, feeding crushers/screens, stockpiling, and loading activities.
  • Complete housekeeping and ground support duties to maintain safe, efficient work areas.
  • Assist with basic servicing, minor maintenance, and area safety audits.
  • Follow all company, plant, and MSHA safety policies and procedures.

Other Qualifications

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts to meet production demands.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays, as business needs require.
  • Successful completion of required safety training and demonstrated proficiency in safe equipment operation.
