Job description

Rapidly growing Aggregate Materials Company in Chico, TX has a need for a Mining/Quarry Manager. This is a direct hire role with full benefits, car and expense allowance, 401K etc and relocation.

  • Monitor Processes and Materials-ย Analyze production and quality control to ensure a quality product is received by our customers.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicator Reports- Daily KPI Reports shall be developed to ensure plant performance is optimal by analyzing metrics and subsequently develop best practices in extraction, processing, stockpiling, and re-handling.
  • Maintenance-ย Implement and monitor a preventive maintenance program to limit work stoppages, downtime, or other disruptions in plant equipment and rolling stock. The Supervisor shall also inspect equipment and oversee repairs, assist and organize the work of employees in the daily inspection and maintenance of plant and heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruption to process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

  • In depth knowledge of aggregates production and associated equipment and processes.
  • At least 2ย years of aggregates industry, or closely related industry experience.
  • Must be able to provide strong leadership and mentorship to employees, both direct and indirect reports, to motivate and maintain interpersonal relationships.
  • Operational Knowledge. Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of rock mining, MSHA regulations, and quality control systems and processes.
  • Mechanical Knowledge. Candidate must be mechanically inclined and must demonstrate the ability to read and understand plant drawings and schematics. Additionally, the candidate must also demonstrate an understanding of Equipment Wear Schedules.
  • Knowledge of Drilling and Blasting.
  • Interpersonal Skills. Must be an excellent motivator and team builder. Must be able to form strong social relationships and effectively communicate with both internal and external audiences.
  • Must possess knowledge and experience leading financial performance to established targets, meeting or exceeding performance goals.
  • Working Conditions. Role operates in a quarry environment. Candidate must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noise between 85dba โ€“ 105dba.
  • Knowledge of PM procedures with Heavy Equipment
  • Strong track record of leading safety and health, as well as regulatory compliance
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Teams, Word, etc.)
