What you can look forward to as a Mining Gearbox Mechanic
  • Diagnose/Troubleshoot gearboxes and inspect and report failure analysis of product and parts
  • Inspect and reassemble gearboxes including implementing product updates
  • Test product to ensure functionality  
  • Communicate with customer service for product analysis and customer support
  • Receive inventory
  • Prep, paint and skid units
  • Stage and organize WIP for paint. Keep up on all safety checklists and input paint specs to safety team.
  • Maintain respirator certifications.
  • Performs related tasks as assigned.
Your profile as a Mining Gearbox Mechanic
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ Years disassembling, assembling, inspecting industrial heavy equipment  transmissions and gear boxes.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and hydraulic schematics.
  • Read, interpret and implement product specific updates and changes from OEM documents.
  • Must be able to safely handle and measure industrial coatings while monitoring PSI regulators during operation.
  • Must be able to qualify for a Powered Industrial Truck certification
  • Must be able to qualify for industrial respirator certification.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Valid Driver's License
