Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring the effective use, reliability, and continuous improvement of the Fleet Management System (FMS) to optimize mining fleet performance and support operational decision-making.

  • Manage and maintain the Fleet Management System mine model to ensure alignment with mining cycles and operational requirements.
  • Liaise with Mobile Maintenance, IT, CAT, and other service providers to resolve network, hardware, and software issues.
  • Manage user access and support ongoing system functionality and development.
  • Develop and implement fleet performance metrics and controller KPIs to improve operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and coach FMS Controllers to proactively and effectively utilize the system to achieve the most efficient and productive use of the fleet
  • Drive optimization of fleet performance and operational interaction.
  • Audit system data regularly to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to fleet management and mining operations.
  • Partner with team members for development of KPIs, reports, and dashboards to measure performance as well as effective short interval controls.
  • Support a safe, collaborative, and high-performing mining environment.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience working with functional Fleet Management Systems within mining operations.
  • Strong understanding of mining production cycles, load and haul operations, and fleet optimization.
  • Experience working with CAT systems or similar mining technology platforms preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy including reporting tools and dashboard creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop operational teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
