Job Summary:
JTEC Consulting LLC is a Veteran-Owned Small Business focused on delivering solutions to meet critical needs for Air Force and DOD clients. They are seeking a Data Scientist to support data science and analytics for an Intelligence Community organization in Northern Virginia, involving tasks such as data engineering, analytics, and software engineering in DevOps environments.
Responsibilities:
• Work as part of a blended team of government and contractor personnel including data scientists, data engineers, and analysts
• Support a range of activities and hands-on support for structured and unstructured data
• Support advanced data problems and data modeling
• Support data interpretation and results from multiple sources using a variety of techniques including simple data aggregation and statistical analysis up to an including complex data mining
• Support data-centric solutions through database support, big data analysis, and implementation of data models
• Apply industry and technical knowledge to support advanced and complex projects, as requested
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. citizenship
• Current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Local to Wash DC Metro area and available to support on-site work 5 days/week (Northern Virginia locations)
• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, operational research, or related discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience supporting a related IC data analytics environment
• Experience using open-source tools, cloud computing, machine learning and data visualization
• Hands-on coding experience (varies by task) including Apache Hadoop, and Python
• Experience in a data analytics environment, and the use of open-source tools, cloud computing, machine learning and data visualization
• Advanced knowledge of machine learning
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to work in a dynamic team environment.
