What You Will Do:

The Staff Fraud Analytics Consultant willperform assigned fraudanalytics,data analysis, reporting, and investigativesupportactivities as part of a multidisciplinary team.This position will apply standard professional concepts and methodologies to solve structured analytical problems, work independently on routine assignments, and receive general instruction and review for new or more complex work.

  • Analyze transaction logs, application activity, user behavior, and fraud-related data toidentifytrends, anomalies, patterns, correlations, and potentially suspicious activity.

  • Apply established analytical concepts and methodologies to support fraud prevention, detection, response, and continuous enhancement activities.

  • Support execution and documentation of existing fraud indicators,detectionlogic, business rules, and analytical processes.

  • Perform data mining, pattern recognition, behavioral analysis, and basic statistical analysis to support operational decision-making.

  • Assistwith data preparation, data quality review, data integration, and extract, transform, load activities supporting analytics and reporting.

  • Support investigative and forensic analysis of structured and unstructured data toidentifytrends, root causes, and potentialindicators requiring further review.

  • Support stakeholder meetings by gathering information, documenting requirements, and clarifying data quality, reporting, or analytical needs.

  • Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, briefings, presentations, executive summaries, and technical documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Document methodologies, findings, procedures, assumptions, and work products to support quality control, knowledge sharing, and operational continuity.

  • Work onsite at the client site in Lanham, Maryland five (5) days per week and collaborate closely with government personnel and contractor team members.


What You Will Need:

  • Ability to obtain andmaintaina Public Trust clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Information Science, ora STEM relatedfield.

  • THREE (3) or more years of professional experience supporting fraud analytics, cybersecurity analytics, data analysis, data science, business intelligence, investigations, incident response, ora relatedtechnical discipline.

  • Experience analyzing datasets andidentifyingtrends, anomalies, patterns, or correlations using standard analytical techniques.

  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, visualizations, briefings, or analytical products that support operational or business decision-making.

  • Experience using SQLordata analysis tools to query, manipulate, and analyze data.

  • Experience supporting data integration, data preparation, extract, transform, load activities, or data quality initiatives.

  • Experience communicating technicalfindings clearlyto technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience working independently on routine assignments while contributing to cross-functional project teams.

  • Ability and willingness to work onsite at the client location in Lanham, Maryland five (5) days per week.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience supporting fraud analytics, cybersecurity, financial crime, digital identity, insider threat, or risk analytics programs.

  • Experience supporting development, testing, or validation of predictive models, fraud indicators, or analytical techniques.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, SQL, reporting tools, or analytics tools such as Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies.

  • Experience withSIEMplatforms,including Splunk,cybersecurity monitoring technologies, or large-scale log analysis.

  • Experience supportinglink analysis, behavioral analytics, graph analytics, network analytics, text mining, or data visualization.

  • Experience supporting incident response, investigations, open-source research, threat intelligence, or stakeholder coordination.

  • Experience developing dashboards or visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, Microsoft Excel, or similar tools.

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, collaborative development environments, and federal consulting environments.

  • Candidate currentlypossessesan active Internal Revenue Service(IRS)Moderate Background Investigation clearance or has held one within the last six (6) months.
