Solidus applies a technically rigorous, capital-disciplined approach to mine development, with a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship, operational safety, and community engagement.
The Spring Valley Gold Project is located in the prolific Humboldt Range, an area with approximately 60 million ounces of gold endowment within a 50-mile radius. Envisioned as a long-life, low-cost open-pit, heap-leach operation, Spring Valley has a robust resource base and considerable exploration upside along a 7-mile strike length across the Black Ridge fault zone.
With a leadership team experienced in engineering, permitting, and large-scale project execution, Solidus Resources is advancing Spring Valley through feasibility, permitting, and construction, with a clear path toward operational readiness. Position Overview:
As the Systems Administrator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our IT systems and ensuring their smooth operation. You will be responsible for handling various technology-related tasks, providing technical support to end-users, and contributing to the overall efficiency and security of our technology environment. Job Responsibilities:
User Support and Technical Assistance:
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, ERP (Pronto & Sage) and network-related inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, either remotely or on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring computers, workstations, printers, and other peripherals for employees.

System Administration:
  • Manage and maintain our servers, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Monitor system resource utilization, identify potential bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to avoid disruptions.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning.

Network Management:
  • Administer and maintain our local area network (LAN) and ensure network connectivity for all devices and users.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Systems Administrator to implement network security measures and prevent unauthorized access.

Software and Hardware Management:
  • Install, upgrade, and configure software applications, ensuring they are properly licensed and updated.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.

IT Security and Compliance:
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against cyber threats.
  • Stay informed about the latest security threats and best practices, and actively participate in security awareness programs.

Documentation and Training:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions to empower employees with essential IT skills and best practices.

  • Other duties as required including some travel to mine site near Lovelock Nevada

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven work experience as an IT Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or a similar role (4 years of experience).
  • Solid knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and network administration.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely solutions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
