ABOUT THE POSITION: The Server Assistant (Busser/Runner) plays an important role in creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience for our guests. This position works closely with servers, bartenders, culinary associates, and restaurant leadership to ensure food is delivered promptly, tables are properly maintained, and the restaurant remains clean, organized, and ready to serve our guests.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in providing excellent service, and understands that great hospitality is a team effort.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist servers and the culinary team with the timely delivery of food and beverages to guests. 
  • Clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables efficiently throughout service. 
  • Maintain clean and organized dining, service, and work areas.
  • Assist with restaurant opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
  • Replenish glassware, silverware, linens, condiments, and other service supplies as needed. 
  • Communicate effectively with servers and culinary associates to help ensure accurate and timely service. 
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to requests. 
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, hotel safety, and service standards. 
  • Support fellow associates and other Food & Beverage areas as business needs require. 
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional demeanor and a genuine passion for hospitality.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR- The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a friendly, outgoing, and professional personality. 
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Be able to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Demonstrate reliability, initiative, and attention to detail. 
  • Be able to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift and carry items associated with restaurant service. 
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on business demands. 
  • Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience is preferred. 
  • A valid California Food Handler Certificate is preferred.
