Job description

Position Title: Hands-On Hardscape/Landscape Foreman
A growing, full-service landscaping and hardscaping contractor is seeking a Hands-On Hardscape/Landscape Foreman to lead installation crews while remaining actively involved in the work. This role involves leading and supervising a hardscape crew in daily field operations, with a focus on quality and efficiency. The foreman will plan and execute the installation of various hardscape features such as walkways, patios, and retaining walls, ensuring adherence to project timelines. The position requires hands-on involvement, including operating equipment such as mini excavators and skid steers. Training new crew members on safety procedures and techniques is essential, as is coordinating with landscape teams for integrated project delivery. Salary Range: $30.00-$33.00+ / Hour DOE
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a hardscape crew across daily field operations
  • Plan and execute installations including walkways, patios, retaining walls, and natural stone features
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and project timelines
  • Operate equipment including mini excavator and skid steer
  • Train new crew members on proper techniques and safety procedures
  • Coordinate with landscape teams on integrated project delivery

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of landscape or hardscape experience
  • 2+ years leading field crews
  • Proven hands-on experience in hardscape installation, including pavers, natural stone, and retaining wall systems
  • Solid knowledge of materials, drainage principles, and installation techniques
  • Proficiency operating a mini excavator and skid steer, or willingness to learn
  • Organized, deadline-aware, and physically capable of working outdoors year-round
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Horticultural background and knowledge is preferred
  • Arbory background is preferred
