On-Call Banquet Server - Shade Hotel Redondo Beach

Shade Hotel Redondo Beach is currently seeking On-Call Banquet Servers with strong availability-Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and occasional Thursdays are required. Candidates must be comfortable working late nights, as event breakdown is handled in-house and shifts typically end between 12:30am-1:00am.
We are looking for dependable, thoughtful, high-integrity individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing event environment and take pride in creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of banquet or catering experience (training provided for the right candidate)

Responsibilities:
  • Attend pre-event meetings with kitchen and event planning teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Build catering stations including coffee service, buffets, carving stations, dessert displays, AM/PM snacks, late-night meals, and mobile grill setups
  • Create individual table settings and maintain clean, organized guest sections
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, including expediting, tray passing, and buffet service
  • Clear and bus tables efficiently to support timely event flips and transitions
  • Assist with restocking inventory and preparing spaces for the next day's events
