About the role

Our Mine department, composed of approximately 181 people, is comprised of Mine Operations, Mine Utility and Tails, and Maintenance teams and focuses on safe and reliable operation and minimal downtime of all mine assets in collaboration with the overall mine production budget.

The Mine Mechanical Reliability Engineer will perform bad actor analysis and FMEA on equipment, while also driving predictive and preventative maintenance practices. The reliability engineer will work closely with the mine maintenance scheduler, planners and supervisors to drive continuous improvement. In addition, the reliability engineer will support the mine utility department. The reliability engineer will also work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure success of the mine.

You will be accountable for:

  • Reliability Strategy: Develop and maintain autonomous, predictive, and preventative maintenance programs to ensure long-term equipment health and mine reliability.
  • Failure Analysis: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify equipment vulnerabilities and eliminate recurring "bad actor" issues.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Mean Time Between Repair (MTBR) to drive data-led improvements in equipment life cycles.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical liaison between operations and maintenance, maintaining the asset criticality list to prioritize high-impact repairs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Update PM frequencies based on field findings and provide technical feedback for upgrading systems to enhance operational stability.

We offer at-will employment based on site working a 4/10 schedule.

About you

B.S. in Engineering. Mining industry experience, specifically in equipment lifecycles, vibration and lubrication analysis, and the precise interpretation of technical drawings and measurements.

About the pay and benefits

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is:

  • $90,000-$110,000 yearly in the United States.

Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
