Project Manager- Water and Wastewater Construction


Sovereign Consulting Inc. seeks a Project Manager - Water and Wastewater Construction with 5 years of experience in water and wastewater construction project management in New Jersey based out of our Cherry Hill, NJ or Robbinsville or Mine Hill, NJ office location. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating water and wastewater construction projects from initiation to completion. Prior industry expertise will play a critical role in managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communication. We are a self-performing General Contractor with field crews. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects that have a direct impact on the communities we serve. Due to successful growth, we are looking to add team members and opportunity for career growth. Professional Engineers are on staff and promote continuing education, including obtaining of professional licenses with cost reimbursement programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of water and wastewater construction projects
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, regulatory, and environmental teams to ensure project alignment
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve potential roadblocks
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns
  • Prepare and present project reports, including financial analyses and performance metrics
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ensure projects adhere to safety and quality standards


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater construction project administration
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • PMP certification (preferred but not required)

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
