Surface Mine Mechanic
Day Shift hours 6AM to 5:30PM

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Surface Mine Mechanic to join our team at a surface coal mining operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy mining equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on surface mining equipment including haul trucks, shovels, drills, dozers, and conveyors.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment status to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with operations and safety teams to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Operate diagnostic tools and equipment to identify malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a mechanic in a surface coal mining or heavy equipment environment.
