Emergency & Urgent Care Veterinarian
NB Animal Urgent Care | New Braunfels, Texas
Are you an experienced veterinarian who thrives in urgent care and enjoys surgery? Do you like practicing high-quality medicine without the overnight ER schedule?
NB Animal Urgent Care is growing, and we're looking for a confident, experienced DVM to join our team in beautiful New Braunfels, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys fast-paced medicine, emergency cases, soft tissue surgery, critical thinking, and working alongside an experienced, supportive team.
What You'll Do
Every shift is different. You'll diagnose and treat urgent and emergency cases while performing procedures that make a real difference for pets and their families.
Responsibilities include:
  • Examining and treating urgent and emergency canine and feline
    patients
  • Performing soft tissue surgery and emergency surgical procedures
  • Interpreting digital radiographs, point-of-care ultrasound, and in-house laboratory diagnostics
  • Stabilizing medical and surgical emergencies
  • Developing treatment plans and communicating recommendations with pet owners
  • Collaborating closely with experienced veterinary technicians and support staff
  • Providing compassionate, high-quality patient care while maintaining excellent medical records

This position is designed for an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable making medical decisions independently.
Qualified candidates will have experience with:

Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD)
  • Eligible for or licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Texas

  • Confident surgical skills and sound medical judgment
  • Excellent communication and client education skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
