Job description

Position Overview

Mindful Transcendence Mental Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team remotely, offering essential support in our hospice center based in Woodbridge, New Jersey. In this full-time role, you will provide compassionate care to individuals facing significant mental health challenges, helping them and their families navigate some of lifeโ€™s toughest transitions.

About the Organization

At Mindful Transcendence Mental Healthcare, we are deeply committed to improving the health and well-being of community members, particularly those in medically underserved areas. Our mission is to provide quality, safe, and patient-centered healthcare services regardless of patients' financial situations. We strive to be a model health center, emphasizing accessibility and inclusivity in all we do.

Work Environment

This position allows for remote work, offering flexibility while supporting our hospice center staff and clients in the community. You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals who may be experiencing severe emotional disturbances or major mental illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clientsโ€™ psychological and emotional needs, followed by the development of integrative, evidence-based care plans.
  • Providing therapeutic support through individual, family, and group counseling sessions to clients dealing with severe emotional disorders.
  • Working in tandem with clinical teams to establish treatment goals, monitor client progress, and ensure timely and effective care delivery.
  • Participating in on-call rotations to assist with crisis interventions and providing immediate support as required.
  • Conducting screenings and assessments to identify risk factors and implementing preventive measures.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and comprehensive care for clients, including family members as necessary.
  • Upholding ethical standards and maintaining documentation in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will largely focus on clients within a hospice setting, where you will deliver care to individuals experiencing not only mental health challenges but also challenging life transitions. Many of these patients are confronted with terminal illnesses, necessitating sensitive, empathetic approaches to mental and emotional support. Your role will be crucial in helping clients find peace and understanding throughout their journey.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A valid and active state license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Social Work or a related field; a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, specifically working with populations experiencing mental health challenges.
Preferred Experience

Although not mandatory, experience in a hospice or palliative care setting will be highly regarded. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, grief support, and crisis intervention techniques will enhance your ability to connect with and support our clients effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We provide comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plan options, and opportunities for continuing education and professional development to foster your growth in the field.

At Mindful Transcendence Mental Healthcare, we prioritize your professional development. With mentorship programs, training workshops, and chances to participate in interdisciplinary projects, we help you enhance your skills and prepare for future roles within our organization. Advancement opportunities are available for those who demonstrate commitment and excellence in service delivery.
