Job description

Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment within the facility, following safety guidelines set by Milwaukee Tool. Some troubleshooting and minor repairs will also be included in this role, to support production and help achieve Milwaukee Tools business goals and objectives
Shift Hours
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00-11:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform minor troubleshooting to repair production machines and the facilities equipment, assisting in machine uptime

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities

  • Provide assistance to setup technicians and automation technicians as needed to support production equipment and goals

  • Source parts as needed for preventative maintenance tasks

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawing and work directly with outside vendors to maintain production equipment

  • Recommend preventative maintenance improvements on equipment and process improvements

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, multimeters, and material handling equipment

  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas

  • Follow all Lockout Tagout procedures and always follow safety guidelines

  • Other duties and projects as determined by production and business needs

Education, Skills, and Experience
  • High School Diploma / GED required

  • Completion of technical school course, or an equivalent number of years of experience in a production maintenance environment preferred

  • Ability to earn forklift truck certification, safely operate an overhead crane

  • An understanding of PLC programming and ladder logic preferred

  • Established ability to identify and communicate issues and offer proposed solutions

  • Excellent attention to detail is required
