About the Job:

The Coeur Rochester mine located in Nevada, approximately 25 miles from Lovelock, Nevada, is seeking a Fixed Maintenance Mechanic to join the team. Hourly Rate Range: $37.75 – $45.12(DOE)

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000

Responsibilities:

The Process Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the performance of the following duties in a safe and productive manner.

  • Perform inspections, trouble shooting, and maintenance of Three-Stage Crushing Facility and Merrill-Crowe process equipment;
  • Perform daily workplace and equipment safety inspections;
  • Complete preventive maintenance inspections of fixed equipment and perform regularly scheduled PM services;
  • Repair, rebuild and maintain various equipment not limited to, pumps, conveyors, jaw and cone crushers;
  • Dismantle and reassemble fixed and crushing equipment with some supervision;
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges;
  • Weld together metal components as specified by layout, blueprint, work order or oral instruction;
  • Consulting manuals, reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics;
  • Order parts, generate W/R, W/O, and other routine work to maintain an organized and efficient work environment;
  • Ability to recognize safety hazards, develop solutions, then follow up to make sure hazards are addressed;
  • Follow Company and Governmental Safety and Environmental regulations;
  • Attend continuous improvement or newly implemented technology or infrastructure training classes as scheduled by Company.

Physical Requirements:

  • Follow all procedures and safety measures to assure safe production;
  • Work in all conditions and environments, approximately 80% of job is outdoors;
  • Able to lift 75 lbs. on an occasional basis;
  • Able to walk up and down slopes and uneven ground daily;
  • Able to ascend and descend ladders daily.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is required;
  • Graduation from an accredited Millwright program is preferred;
  • A minimum 2+ years fixed maintenance experience in the mining or heavy industry sector including conveyor, screens, and crushing experience (Nordberg, MP800, Raptor, etc.);
  • Working knowledge of the Merrill-Crowe processing system;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and certification for oxygen/acetylene cutting, plasma cutting, MIG welding, and electrode welding;
  • Experience trouble shooting and repairing Hydraulic systems;
  • Support and participation in the development of the RCM program;
  • Experience in the following areas preferred, but not limited to dissimilar metal welding (mild steel, manganese, stainless) pipe welding, and fabrication;
  • Working knowledge of vertical turbine and centrifugal pumps, open and closed circuit crushing including horizontal and incline screens, Metso MP or HP cone crushers, jaw crushers, gyratory crushers, and all aspects of conveying systems are favorable.

Additional Information:

  • Hourly Rate Range: $37.75 – $45.12(DOE)
