Job description

Under the direction of the maintenance supervisor, either directly or through the assistant or lead person the Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for periodical inspection and/or replacing of seals, filters, light bulbs, along with changing machine coolant. Minor repair to plant equipment will include belts, and pullies, etc. Employee will be an important part of the plant Preventive Maintenance program. Working from a schedule the employee will be responsible for accurately recording maintenance service performed for each type of machinery or equipment.

This person will be responsible for assisting Millwright and/or electrician or others in the installation or repair of plant machinery or equipment. Must notify the Millwright, Electrician or Supervisor of tools and supplies needed to perform assigned duties. Employee will maintain a safe and clean area and perform any requested, unusual, and reasonable duties assigned by supervisor.
