Job Description
Job Description Summary
Perform millwright job duties in a team environment at a heavy industry work site which operates 24x7. Requires ability to work flexible hours as needed and be available for call-ins as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.
• Position requires mechanical aptitude to perform technical and general maintenance work on a variety of pumps (i.e. centrifugal, injector, diaphragm, etc.), motors, equipment, systems, air handlers, domestic water, chilled water, hot water, high temperature hot water, steam, humidification, building exhaust fans, air compressors and controls.
• Perform the following duties:
1. Welding
2. Rigging
3. Alignment
• Perform Precision Maintenance with bearings, couplings, gearboxes, seals, bushings, interference fits, torque, pumps, rotating equipment, lubrication, etc.
Education & Experience
• High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
• 5 years of preventive maintenance experience required.
• Must have knowledge of Precision Maintenance with bearings, couplings, gearboxes, seals, bushings, shrink fits, torque, pumps, rotating equipment, lubrication, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers' equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of standard and specialized maintenance practices.
Language Skills
• Ability to write, read and comprehend instructions, work orders, manuals, short correspondence and memos.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
