Job Description:

About the Role:

The Multicraft Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of the facility's tea manufacturing equipment, material handling systems, and general building and site infrastructure. This role is accountable for ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost control within assigned areas. You will be performing the following tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vacuum bulk transfer systems, dust collection systems, blending equipment, and general building systems.
  • Assess maintenance needs and determine the scope of work required to complete repairs or improvements with limited direction from the Plant Maintenance Manager.
  • Coordinate and procure materials, parts, and services necessary to execute maintenance activities.
  • Accurately track and document work orders, maintenance activities, and job completion in eMaint (CMMS).
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives, workplace safety programs, and GMP compliance across the facility.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Important Details:

  • This is a full-time permanent role on the 2nd shift, which operates Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. Overtime may be available, depending on the needs of the business. The anticipated starting wage rate for this position is $26.30 + $0.60 shift differential

You'll fit right in if you have:

  • A High School diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of a Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude Assessment; HVAC certification is considered an asset.
  • Millwright experience in an industrial or food manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience maintaining high-speed packaging equipment in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing settings.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automated systems.
  • Practical experience with conveyors, bulk material handling systems, welding, and fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to diagnose and complete repairs effectively.
