Description

Skilled Millwright/Millwright Laborers

CL Construction is seeking Skilled Millwright Specialists and Laborers to join our growing Millwright Division. This position is responsible for the installation, assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial and agricultural equipment and systems. Projects may include grain handling facilities, ethanol plants, manufacturing facilities, processing plants, structural steel installations, equipment setting, shutdown work, and other commercial and industrial construction projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with industrial equipment, and a commitment to performing quality work safely and efficiently. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing project demands, and occasionally work extended hours to meet project schedules, shutdown timelines, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely identify and utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialty equipment.
  • Accurately use tape measures, levels, and other layout and measuring tools.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
  • Install, assemble, and align machinery, material handling systems, and facility components.
  • Assist with the installation of catwalks, ladders, platforms, chutes, conveyors, structural steel, and related equipment.
  • Support rigging, equipment setting, and mechanical installation activities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and equipment layouts.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project schedules and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Experience with conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and material handling systems.
  • Experience working in grain facilities, ethanol plants, manufacturing facilities, feed mills, or other industrial processing environments.
  • Welding, cutting, and metal fabrication experience.
  • Experience with rigging, crane-assisted picks, and equipment setting.
  • Shutdown and turnaround maintenance experience.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
