Project Manager – Commercial Architectural Millwork

Location: Denver, Colorado | Type: Full-Time, Onsite

This position is not remote eligible.

JK Concepts is a well-established and growing manufacturer of high-end custom architectural millwork. We are known for delivering exceptional craftsmanship and reliable project execution across commercial construction markets, including hospitality, healthcare, education, and retail. Our team is driven by quality, collaboration, and pride in our work—from concept through installation.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for managing millwork projects from initial submittals through final installation, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, establish schedules, and manage deliverables for submittals, fabrication, and installation
  • Review and ensure quality control of shop drawings prior to client submission
  • Coordinate with general contractors, architects, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Negotiate and manage subcontracts, including installation and specialty services such as stonework
  • Prepare, track, and manage RFIs and change orders
  • Coordinate field activities and verify site dimensions and conditions
  • Manage delivery schedules to align with project milestones and site readiness
  • Process accurate billing and change authorizations for subcontractors
  • Support additional project-related tasks as required

Qualifications amp; Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Wood Technology, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in commercial architectural millwork or casework project management
  • Working knowledge of AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) Standards a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced) and Bluebeam
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset
