Job Summary:
Outside Sales Account Manager requires an in depth understanding of the various aspects of the building materials supply business and generate in excess of $2 million in sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  1. Generate sales growth from a portfolio of accounts you created
  2. Aid in identifying new category sales opportunities within existing accounts
  3. Attend client/builder meetings in showroom, client office, and/or jobsite
  4. Conduct product selection meetings with client/builder in our showroom
  5. Travel to job sites to perform jobsite verification of window/millwork specs/measurements on ongoing projects
  6. Perform material take-offs on smaller scale projects
  7. Respond to builder communications via phone/email/text
  8. Assemble job packs for the installer
  9. Be involved in the order process from estimating through ordering
  10. Assist the sales team with all details of ongoing projects
  11. Communicating with inside support staff
  12. Talking with vendors
  13. Assisting customers when help is needed at front counter.
  14. Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth

Requirements
Qualifications:
  1. Requires High School Diploma and 3-5 years of lumberyard experience or 2-4 year degree related to business or construction industry.
  2. Mathematical skills required to add, subtract, multiply, divide, measurements of square foot and cubic foot
  3. Strong computer skills and understanding of Zuern Building Products software platform
  4. Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
  5. Ability to work under minimal supervision
  6. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, climb and reach
  7. Vast product knowledge of building materials and practices
  8. Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and customers
  9. Excellent customer service skills

Work Requirements:
  1. Valid Wisconsin driver's license and medically able to operate a Zuern company vehicle
  2. Must be willing and able to travel with Zuern provided company vehicle up to 60 percent of the time
