Job description

PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. We focus on supplying building materials and solutions to professional home builders of all sizes including custom builders, large production builders, and multifamily builders. Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.

Pay: $22.07-$24.43 hourly
The main objective of a Millwork Puller is to stack and band product bundles in an efficient and safe manner satisfying our external customer's orders. This position reports directly to the Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Quality of Work

  • Works at a good steady pace with a sense of urgency
  • Quality of work is accurate and efficient
  • Comes to work property attired, well-groomed with good hygiene
  • Helps in overall cleanliness of the location
  • Makes sure every order is built correctly, stacked in order, banded correctly, and labeled properly
  • All products are cut to the correct length with no material defects
  • Speed in pulling millwork packs with consistent great quality
  • Manages paperwork effectively
  • Delivers highly accurate quality of work with speed as a millwork puller
  • Has ability to spot identify and proactively fix errors
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required
  • Must be able to use a framing hammer, electric saw, pneumatic nail gun, and any other equipment necessary for the job
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material required

  • Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment
  • Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold
  • Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon in an effort to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers
  • Ability to communicate with management and employees effectively.
  • Ability to function independently, as part of a team with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence

Working Conditions

This position works in a warehouse in all weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend and kneel repetitively
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to utilize all appropriate safety equipment
