SmartTalent is hiring for a Company in Woodinville, WA for a Temp-to-Hire Estimator position that offers full-time hours. The ideal candidate will have experience performing material takeoffs from blueprints and construction documents, preparing accurate cost estimates, and working in a fast-paced construction or woodworking environment. Experience with custom millwork, cabinetry, or architectural woodworking is highly preferred.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am – 2:30pm

Essential Functions

·Review blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction documents to perform accurate material takeoffs.

·Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom woodworking and millwork projects.

·Calculate material, labor, hardware, and subcontractor costs.

·Request and evaluate vendor pricing to develop competitive project bids.

·Identify discrepancies or missing information within project plans and communicate with project stakeholders.

·Prepare and submit estimates within project deadlines.

·Maintain organized estimating records, pricing databases, and project documentation.

·Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and sales staff to ensure accurate project handoffs.

·Assist with value engineering and provide cost-saving recommendations when appropriate.

·Monitor material pricing and update estimates as needed throughout the bidding process.

Qualifications

·Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in construction, woodworking, millwork, cabinetry, or a related industry.

·Experience performing material takeoffs from blueprints and construction documents is required.

·Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.

·Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

·Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

·Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar is preferred.

·Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

·Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
