We are currently seeking an experienced Countertop Template Technician to join our Auburn team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction, cabinetry, millwork, remodeling, or countertop experience who enjoys working independently while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Position Summary

As a Countertop Template Technician, you will be responsible for accurately measuring residential and commercial projects using advanced digital templating equipment. You will create precise CAD files for fabrication while serving as the face of FLOFORM in customers' homes.

This position begins and ends each workday from your home, traveling directly to customer locations in a company vehicle.

What You'll Do
  • Travel to customer homes and businesses to complete digital countertop templates.
  • Create accurate CAD drawings for fabrication of custom countertops.
  • Record all required measurements, polished edges, sink and cooktop cutouts, faucet locations, radiuses, and installation specifications.
  • Review project details with customers and explain the templating and installation process.
  • Identify and communicate any required modifications or potential installation concerns.
  • Respond professionally to customer questions while on-site.
  • Communicate project information promptly with Sales, Operations, and Production teams.
  • Submit completed templates and work orders within 24–48 hours.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your company vehicle.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in countertop templating, installation, cabinetry, kitchen or bathroom remodeling, finish carpentry, or related construction trades.
  • Experience reading blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong measuring skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Experience using CAD software is an asset (training provided for company systems).
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • A professional appearance and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in residential construction environments for extended periods.
Compensation & Benefits

Starting Wage: $30.00 per hour and up, depending on experience (DOE).
