Experienced Journeyman Carpenter (8+ Years)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Reports To: Production Manager

Pay: Competitive salary based on experience

Position Summary

CROSS is looking for an experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our Custom Division. This role requires advanced carpentry skills, leadership experience, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. You will work closely with Project Managers, coordinate with trade partners, and help guide less experienced carpenters.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination
  • Work with Project Managers to plan and complete projects on schedule.
  • Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and trade partners.
  • Follow blueprints, plans, and project specifications.
Carpentry & Installation
  • Perform framing, structural carpentry, and cabinetry installation.
  • Install doors, windows, staircases, decks, and railings.
  • Complete detailed finish work, including trim, crown molding, stair railings, and custom millwork.
  • Ensure all work meets CROSS quality standards.
Safety & Documentation
  • Maintain a safe and organized job site.
  • Follow company policies and safety procedures.
  • Update job logs, track progress, and submit material requests as needed.
QualificationsRequired Experience
  • 8+ years of professional carpentry experience.
  • Strong background in residential and custom construction.
  • Experience leading crews or mentoring other carpenters.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
  • Advanced knowledge of framing, woodworking, cabinetry, and finish carpentry.
  • Skilled in custom trim and millwork installation.
  • Knowledge of construction tools, materials, and best practices.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 80+ pounds.
  • Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, balance, and work in various weather conditions.
