Job description

Overview

MB2 Dental, a first-of-its-kind Dental Partnership Organization (DPO) founded in 2007 and based in Carrollton, TX, is actively hiring an Equipment Specialist!

The Equipment Specialist is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of equipment procurement and implementation across the Facility Team's portfolio, including new builds, relocations, expansions, and operatory adds within existing office space. This position requires strong technical knowledge of dental equipment, construction knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with doctors to understand current equipment usage and future needs
  • Ensure comprehensive and accurate equipment ordering
  • Identify, engage and regularly communicate with local vendor equipment specialist throughout project lifecycle
  • Review Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) plans along with millwork design
  • Collaborate with Facility Project Managers, Construction Managers, and IT leads on project requirements
  • Coordinate electrical & underground plumbing quality checks with local vendor equipment specialist
  • Coordinate supporting resource delivery to construction site including chair templates and medgas preinstall hardware
  • Coordinate installation schedules and communicate continuous project timelines with equipment vendors.
  • Provide thorough project updates in both internal and external meetings
  • Upkeep tools with updates, documents, due dates, and notes
  • Create and track equipment punch list to verify that equipment requirements meet standards and ensure go-live is successful
  • Hold vendors accountable to service - level agreements (SLAs)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the dental industry with strong knowledge of dental equipment and equipment systems
  • Familiarity with building layouts and basic construction processes
  • Knowledge of project management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate with a high level of organization and accountability
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, facilities, construction, and vendors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite, Monday.com, Smart Sheets
