Job description

We are growing again! and are Machine Operators to our Production Team. Tucker Door & Trim is a premier wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and specialty millwork for the construction industry. Our Machine Operator prepares Door Slabs for assembly and pre-hanging

Requirements
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or door shop, mill shops or cabinet shop environment preferred.
  • Basic computer and mechanical aptitude required.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, and measurement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift (up to 75 lbs).
Responsibilities
  • Operate pre-programmed, computer-controlled machinery used in door fabrication and assembly.
  • Review work orders and confirm materials, measurements, and machine settings match production requirements.
  • Monitor equipment operation to detect malfunctions or irregularities and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain proper pace of the line to meet daily production goals without compromising quality or safety.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure doors meet company standards and specifications.
  • Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and calibration on machinery as assigned.
  • Communicate equipment issues or downtime to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe material handling.
  • Assist in training new operators or line employees as directed.
  • Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.
