We are currently accepting applications for a Warehouse Technician at our state-of-the-art production facility in Sparks, NV (Spanish Springs). This position will work 12 hr shifts from 4:55pm-5:25am. One shift works Sunday - Tuesday and every other Saturday. The other shift works Wednesday–Friday, every other Saturday. This position report to the Warehouse Supervisor and is a full-time, hourly role.

JOB SUMMARY: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for processing inbound and outbound orders, performing inventory management practices, and verifying and recording material handling transactions. Provide support with inbound/outbound appointment management and other administrative tasks to support aspects of a distribution operation. These tasks should be done while following all safety and quality procedures and proficiently operating all material handling equipment. The Warehouse Associate must also possess a great deal of flexibility in their ability to multi-task and maintain a positive, team attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned.

  • Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare/pick shipping orders for shipment.
  • Move ingredients/finished materials in and out of racking, using the electronic warehouse management system, to achieve proper first expired-first out (FEFO) / product rotation procedures.
  • Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, completing the necessary inspection forms.
  • Receive, inspect, sample, tag, and route all incoming materials. Pick, pack, load, and prepare orders for shipping.
  • Complete paperwork and log information accurately (Bill of Ladings (BOL’s), inbound/outbound orders, ProForma’s, etc.).
  • Interact with truck drivers, customers, and other CQC departments.
  • Support Warehouse Lead with facilitating communication/coordination between internal customer groups and external carrier contacts to ensure attainment of service level objectives. Focusing efforts on timely pick-up/delivery and overall stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Perform cleaning activities as needed.
  • Provide superior customer service.
  • Cover for other employees while on break/lunch and during absences as assigned.
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance at work, and work overtime as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of industrial warehouse experience preferred, which includes forklift operation, Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience, and shipping and/or receiving experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Solochain, Microsoft Navision, Plant Control Systems, and Label Management would be helpful
