Job description

Red Stag LLC is seeking dedicated Class A CDL Farm Route Pickup Drivers to safely and efficiently load milk onto tankers from local dairy farms and transport liquid dairy bulk products to processing plants for our dedicated customers within the regional areas of New York, and live unloading.

This role requires strict adherence to safety, food handling, and regulatory compliance standards, as well as strong communication with dispatch to ensure smooth and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently load milk products onto trailers using proper equipment and techniques.
  • Ensure all loads are completed on time and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communicate with dispatch to plan routes and report any delays or issues.
  • Inspect and maintain trucks and equipment daily.
  • Follow all food safety and handling protocols to ensure milk quality and safety.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.
  • Represent the company professionally and courteously, maintaining positive relationships with farmers and customers.
  • Adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations related to transportation and dairy production.
  • Ensure safe milk handling practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Class A with tanker endorsement
  • Minimum driving age of 23
  • Minimum of 2 years of driving experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in liquid tanker hauling
  • Food-grade or liquid hauling experience is transferable
  • 4+ years of experience in the dairy industry preferred
  • Obtain and maintain a milk handler certification
  • Must be in good physical condition with evidence of insurability provided (Medical Card)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiar with ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices) to maintain the required hours of service
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to drop and hook a trailer
  • Ability to climb ladders to check trailer seals
  • Strong navigation and problem-solving skills related to route management
  • Flexibility to work holidays and weekends
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, pull, climb, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 50 pounds, sit for an extended period, and reach overhead

Compensation

  • Earn up to $400 per day
  • Base pay expectation of $2,800 bi-weekly (terms apply)
