We are seeking an innovative Network Engineer to help advance our network strategies in support of our vision.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing world-class networking capabilities for the Global Network Team. In this role you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the GPI network capability while working with a highly innovative team.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a network engineer with/for a large global company. This person will also have a strong passion to work in a collaborative team environment with stakeholders in a variety of regions and time zones. The candidate will be self-motivated, innovative and a strategic thinker.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Contribute and influence the creation and implementation of the Paper Mill OT Network into and operational state
  • Operate autonomously to drive actions based on strategic alignment to the team's long-term vision
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across business groups
  • Provide technical assistance to the Network and Engineering team while promoting best practices and standards
  • Experiment and research new technologies, works closely with various vendors to understand technologies and roadmaps
  • Architect infrastructure delivery and lead transformation initiatives
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline
  • Assists team in designing and implementing changes, improvements, or installation of automation
  • Establish a sustainable IT DevOps model by driving a mature solution architecture aligned with industry best practices

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Experience working, designing and supporting industrial manufacturing technical environments leveraging the Purdue Model for Operational Technology networks
  • 3-5 years hands-on experience working as a network engineer in an enterprise environment
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Cisco enterprise and industrial solutions and related certifications
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, technologies, architectures, and emerging technologies
  • Experience working with complex enterprise network environments
  • Diverse knowledge and experience in Wireless, LAN, SDWAN, Cloud and Software Defined technologies
  • Effective influencing and communication skills across a range of audiences, including executive level
  • Proven track record of having strong initiative with the ability to seek out opportunities that can create additional value for the organization
  • Experience in planning and working in complex projects

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Working knowledge of Ansible, Python, CICD Pipeline, Agile, Git, DevOps and scrum
  • Proven experience in Git, DevOps, IaC, and agile frameworks and philosophies
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
  • Experience working with complex enterprise and global stakeholders
  • Previous experience with ServiceNow Asset and ITOM suites (CMDB, Discovery, Service & Event Mapping)
  • ITIL and PMP certifications
