Position Overview

Responsibilities & Qualifications
The operations electricians will be directly responsible for conducting, as assigned, all aspects of electrical maintenance, repairs, capital and construction work throughout the plant in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
  • Conduct electrical maintenance activities on all equipment and buildings as directed.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Reliance, AB and other control systems across the plant.
  • Assist in the design and installation of capital equipment and in construction activities as required.
  • Assist the operations personnel in all operating functions related to production equipment consistent with the other aspects of this job description.
  • Assist in operations support of the coating line on an as needed basis
  • Provide storeroom support as required.
  • Use overhead cranes, forklift trucks etc. in the completion of maintenance, construction and capital upgrade activities as required.
  • Assist the Operations Mechanics, both electrically and mechanically, in the preventive maintenance and construction activities as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams, Behavior Based Safety Programs, audits and other activities as required and conduct SPC activities as directed.
  • Maintain the electrical workshop area as a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist in programming of process controllers
  • Use overhead cranes, hand truck and fork trucks to rig, load and unload rolls, materials and equipment.
  • Adhere to and support company quality, environmental, health & safety, and certification standards, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, IATF 16949:2016, and ASI Certifications, where applicable.

Location Profile
After successful completion of a 120-day probationary period, employees are represented by the IUE-CWA Local 716. This position works rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. The hourly wage for and Electrician is $35.37 plus shift premium and overtime rates, as applicable. Novelis offers excellent benefits, working conditions and potential for career growth. Novelis' Warren facility is located in northeast Ohio- approximately an hour drive from Cleveland and an hour and a half from Pittsburgh. The facility built in 1965 applies coating to rolled aluminum beverage can sheet. The sheet is used to make aluminum beverage can ends (lids) for global soft drink beer and sparkling water brands. Warren showcases several high-end cultural venues including the Warren Community Amphitheater and Packard Music Hall. The 95+ employee Warren team is active in the community promoting recycling supporting STEM education and offering a helping hand to local community shelters.
