Job description

CLEARANCE REQUIRED : TS/SCI This job is located in: Ft. Bragg, NC Job Responsibilities GIS Administration/Integration is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise-wide GIS and associated geospatial databases, network equipment and software tools and applications. The contractor shall perform complex analysis, design and modification of GIS applications and databases and evaluation of new GIS hardware and software. The Expert GIS Database Administrator is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise-level geospatial database that contributes to the GIS architecture. The contractor duties shall include, but are not limited to, performing complex analysis, design, development and modification of GIS database strategies; monitoring and improving database performance and capacity; and planning for future expansion requirements. The Expert GIS Integrations Engineer is responsible for the development, administration, deployment, and maintenance of custom geospatial applications in support of intelligence organizations. The contractor duties shall include, but are not limited to, performing complex analysis, design, development and modification of .NET tools utilizing traditional RDBMS, NoSQL data storesHadoop File Stores and SOLR indexes. A successful Expert GIS Administrator shall perform advanced level planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise level GIS associated geospatial databases, network equipment, and software tools and applications, have eight years of progressive GIS server experience. They shall be highly proficient in administering and deploying open source and commercial off the shelf (COTS) GIS server equipment in support of intelligence organizations, with a strong ability to write custom scripts for automation and analysis using Python with knowledge of C# and Java. The GIS Admin will perform at high level/expert intelligence systems architecture design and evaluation. They shall possess an expert working knowledge of the discovery, analysis and exploitation of geospatially oriented data and the management of that data within a variety of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant applications and databases. Shall possess strong oral and written communication skills. Shall possess high level/expert ability to manage and work with static and dynamic streaming geospatial oriented data. The Expert GIS Administrator is required to obtain and maintain currency of the appropriate level certification in accordance with DODD 8570.01. Desired Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree and 10 years of general experience in the fields of targeting, intelligence systems architecture and geospatial systems experience are highly desirable.
