Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Test & Evaluation Engineer to support test preparation, planning, and execution for critical Programs of Record within the EW&C portfolio. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across the full T&E lifecycle, ensuring that tactical systems meet operational performance requirements and are ready for fielding. You will work directly with Product Managers, engineering teams, logistics, contracting personnel, and multiple external government organizations to support successful test outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of test and evaluation activities in coordination with the Product Management Offices, Army Evaluation Center (AEC), and Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC).
  • Lead system-level technical and operational testing for hardware and software-intensive tactical systems at government and contractor facilities.
  • Review and analyze mission scenarios, test plans, evaluation methodologies and other T&E data
  • Participate in IPTs, working groups, and test readiness reviews; assess technical documentation for test readiness; and monitor/report T&E accomplishment.
  • Assist in the development of testing tools, automated test scripts, and evaluation methodologies, and coordinate with testing organizations throughout the T&E lifecycle.
  • Work across organizational boundaries to identify and resolve integration and testing issues through policy, guidance, and standard maturation.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management Office and contribute to the delivery of program documentation (i.e. Systems Engineering Plans, Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), Acquisition Strategies, technical reviews, requirements documents, and interface control documents) to ensure consistency with engineering policy and guidance.
  • Review Product Management Office documentation to ensure consistency with T&E and Engineering Policy, Guidance, and Standards.
  • Provide technical and management inputs to data calls, briefings, status updates, and test reports.
Requirements

 

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively complex experience in the testing and integration of software-intensive systems, especially related to tactical C5ISR, EW and Cyber systems
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience supporting the planning and execution of test and evaluation activities alongside Product Management Offices and DoD testing organizations such as AEC and ATEC.
  • Demonstrated experience leading systemlevel technical and operational testing for hardware and softwareintensive tactical systems at both government and contractor facilities.
  • Familiarity with the validation, verification, and integration of hardware and software functionality on host tactical platforms.
  • Familiarity with Adaptive Acquisition Framework and T&E policies and procedures in support of DoD 5000 Acquisition.
  • Experience with EW test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and digital receivers.
  • Knowledge of DoD T&E policies and practices, including DoDI 5000.89, and implementing T&E through DoD acquisition programs.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management Offices to prepare or refine program documentation such as Systems Engineering Plans, TEMPs, Acquisition Strategies, technical review materials, requirements documents, and interface control documents.
  • Ability to interpret system specifications, interface control documents, and test plans.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting large data sets from complex test events.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills

Preferred:

  • DAU Certification in T&E (or equivalent military/contractor T&E experience)
  • Hands-on testing and integration experience with Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) related interfaces such as Tactical Operations Centers (TOCs) and GPS/PNT systems
  • Prior experience with military service test organizations (Air Force, Navy, Army ranges).

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, Preferred: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline
  • 4 years of direct relevant technical or military experience may be substituted for education

Cleareance:

    • Active Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI

Travel:

    • Travel: minimum of 20% travel required to Army and Contractor locations Conus/OConus

The position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements. This position requires 25% travel to Army and contractor locations within CONUS

The projected compensation range for this position is $160,000 to $210,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.Employment Type: FULL_TIME
