POSITION SUMMARY:

The Material Master Creation Supervisor will report to the Supply Chain Data Strategy Manager in the Refining Supply Chain Strategy & Planning organization. This position will provide leadership and supervision for the Master Data Processors and contingent workers responsible for processing material master data requests related to the creation, extension, change, and deletion of material master data records. The position is responsible for the effective creation and ongoing support of material master data records within the Company's ERP system. The Material Master Creation Supervisor will ensure that all work is performed in compliance with master data governance requirements, system best practices, and departmental policies and procedures. This role will also provide input and guidance on the development of enhancements, material master related troubleshooting, project related material master record data loads, and application testing as needed in support of system upgrades and updates. The Material Master Creation Supervisor works in collaboration with other members of the Supply Chain group in the support of material master data, procurement, and inventory control goals and objectives.

***This position is located in Findlay, OH but could be located at any refining/midstream office location upon review.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct the day-to-day activities of the team responsible for processing material master data requests in support of Procurement, Inventory Control, Accounting, and Maintenance objectives. Ensure work assignments are executed in compliance with description standards, corporate-wide policies and procedures, and industry best practices.
Maximize material data quality through assessments of newly created data, monitoring of information steward rules, and feedback from business partners and internal stakeholders. Maintain high data quality through standardization and enrichment activities in collaboration with Inventory Data Analysts at the direction of the Master Data Manager.
Set clear team expectations, assign, monitor, and review works tasks and collective team activities. Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members through coaching and mentoring to sustain a focus on high-quality work and the utilization of the system tools to promote efficient work practices.
Identify, develop, and maintain training materials and training programs to ensure team members are adequately trained for their job assignments. Develop and manage a curriculum to efficiently onboard new team members while minimizing disruptions to ongoing team activities. Continuously monitor the training needs of the team to enhance existing training materials and develop training strategies to accomplish departmental goals.
Assist team members and business stakeholders in the troubleshooting and resolution of material master data related issues. Identify and eliminate barriers that are preventing the maximum team performance and overall work quality.
Ensure material requests are satisfactorily completed, approved, and interactions with requestors are performed in a professional manner.
Measure and monitor request cycle times to meet key objectives and proactively check and adjust processes to satisfy stakeholder needs. Communicate expedited requests to team members so work assignments are prioritized in a manner that is consistent with stakeholder expectations.
Communicate team accomplishments, risks and challenges, system enhancements, data insights, and metrics to Supply Chain leadership on a periodic basis. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual departmental meetings to review team activities and provide updates that are tailored to the needs of each audience group.
Work collaboratively with other Supply Chain and EBS leaders to develop strategies, operational plans, and to facilitate the resolution of issues in support of commercial and maintenance activities.
Participate in the management of team staffing needs, including the hiring of new team members, identifying temporary assignments for current team members and potential new team members, and with the interview and selection of future team members.
Gather, review, and disseminate material master data related lessons learned to team members and employees within our stakeholder community to drive positive behavioral changes with regards to requesting and searching for materials, and ongoing continuous improvement activities.
Act as the Process Owner for the Company's material master data creation and maintenance system and provide direction and guidance to the various system support teams (IT, Systems & Controls, Centers of Excellence) on technical issues, functional expectations, and enhancement opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Five (5) or more years' facilities or business relevant experience.
