Job description

You are an energetic and experienced Supervisor, Operational Systems. Reporting to the Director, Business Solutions, you will manage the day-to-day activities for the planning, coordination, and delivery of Salesforce Field Service (web and mobile) and related system initiatives using Agile practices. In this role you will manage a team of 4-6 developers, including employees and contractors, to deliver business requirements and continuously enhance system features.
You will also work closely with the Systems Specialist, managing activities related to roadmap delivery, integrations, system upgrades, and operational support.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day activities for a cross-functional team working across: Salesforce Field Service (web and mobile), and Service 1 capabilities
  • Enterprise integrations (e.g. JDE, BillFlex, GIS, middleware)
  • Manage work intake, sequencing, and delivery using JIRA as the system of record for development and Salesforce for user support
  • Translate prioritized backlog items into executable 2-week sprints and monthly release plans aligned to team capacity and dependencies
  • Manage activities across configuration, development, testing, deployment, and post-release validation
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to team members to support skill development and high performance
  • Manage team workload and capacity, including unplanned work, priority churn, and scope creep
  • Guides and oversee Agile ceremonies
  • Act as the primary execution partner to the Systems Specialist for features and user support

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a manager delivering Salesforce or enterprise IS solutions
  • 3+ years of working in Agile delivery environments with teams adopting Agile ways of working
  • 3+ years of strong working knowledge of JIRA for backlog, sprint and delivery management
  • 3+ years of coordinating work with a development team
  • Experience working within Salesforce ecosystem
  • Ability to learn and understand software programs and new systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with strong verbal and written communication skills
