Job description

Job Description:

  • Middleware Integration API-SOA Developer will be responsible for design and development of new integration scope on the full suite of Mission Critical API-SOA platforms, which includes Apigee API Management, Axway API Gateway and Oracle SOA Suite.
  • This role will also require participation in the Production support rotation which involves sustaining these integration platforms and delivering innovative, high quality support services to our customers.
  • Due to the high level of interaction with both internal and external business partners, this individual must possess strong communication skills, work well in team environments and be able to trouble shoot issues independently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • As a developer, designs and builds the transformation of various data streams, including B2B-EDI and XML, into internal and external system formats, working closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers and customers to refine requirements and document technical designs.
  • Supports detailed reviews of design and code to ensure maximum use of reusable modules, minimal impact on existing applications and systems, the highest possible overall quality, etc.
  • Unit test, Integration test and Stress test interfaces using vendor tools and external test simulation tools.
  • As a support analyst, provides advanced problem solving and technical support, including on-call critical support as well as assist in continuous review and enhancement of team procedures to increase the team's effectiveness and efficiency in the support of our clients.
  • Serves on 24x7 on-call support rotation for Mission Critical applications.

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels, strong work ethic and proven perseverance in driving an issue through to completion and obtaining intended result, and strong customer service approach and ability to collaborate and work well with others.
  • Advanced knowledge of Application Programming Interface (API), Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies, as well as understanding of EDI collaboration and related supply chain, logistics and financial transaction sets.
  • Advanced development knowledge in API Management on Apigee, Axway, or equivalent, as well as advanced development knowledge in Oracle SOA suite (BPEL, OSB, WebLogic, etc.), or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with J2EE, XML, HTTP, JMS, SQL, XSLT and/or XQuery.

Preferred:

  • Advanced knowledge in log monitoring and log aggregation tools such as Splunk Enterprise, or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux OS and Oracle DB environments as it related to interface development and support.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow Incident and Change management, or equivalent.
  • Experience with source control system integration with API-SOA, especially SVN.
  • SAFe Agile trained or certified.

Education:

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, and minimum 8 years related experience, or equivalent experience.
