JOB DETAILS

We are looking for a Finance Systems Administrator to own the day-to-day administration and ongoing optimization of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) environment following our recent migration from Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains). Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will act as the primary system administrator and super user, working closely with the finance and IT teams to ensure the platform runs reliably, securely, and in a way that continuously improves the productivity of our finance teams. In this role you will help stabilize the post-go-live environment, resolve system issues, manage configuration and access, and support future enhancements and acquisition integrations onto F&O.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the primary administrator and super user for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, ensuring stable, secure, and reliable day-to-day operation of the platform across all business units.
Act as the main point of contact for F&O ticket intake, prioritization, resolution, and escalation, coordinating with Microsoft partners, implementation consultants, and internal IT as required.
Manage system configuration, including legal entities, business unit and dimension setup, number sequences, workflows, approval hierarchies, and print management.
Administer user provisioning, security roles, and detailed permission levels, performing regular reviews to ensure appropriate segregation of duties and control over access.
Maintain data integrity, internal controls, and audit trails throughout F&O and connected systems, and support internal and external audit requests with samples and documentation.
Design, build, and maintain reports and inquiries in F&O (including Electronic Reporting and financial reporting) to support the data and reporting needs of the finance teams.
Assess current practices and procedures, identify gaps, and recommend and implement enhancements to improve the workflow and productivity of finance operations.
Support and manage system integrations, including connections between F&O and upstream/downstream applications, and troubleshoot integration and interface errors.
Lead the onboarding of new acquisition finance systems and processes onto F&O, liaising with the M&A team, finance leadership, and company owners to ensure smooth transitions.
Develop and deliver end-user training, job aids, and documentation, and provide ongoing coaching to finance teams to ensure proficient use of F&O and associated processes.
Build and maintain a knowledge base and FAQ resources that enable concise, consistent resolution of recurring system issues.
Manage ad-hoc projects including system modifications, configuration changes, IT compliance, archiving, and other initiatives as required across the business units.
Keep current with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O releases, features, and industry developments, and recommend automation and process improvements that benefit the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant further study or designations (e.g., MBA, CPA) considered an asset.
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience supporting mid-sized finance organizations with accounting systems administration, integrations, enhancements, and overall finance systems transformation.
Hands-on experience administering or implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is a strong asset.
Strong understanding of F&O security roles, workflows, configuration, and reporting tools (including Electronic Reporting and financial reporting).
Excellent technical learning, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new concepts quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Effective administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, adjust, and respond professionally to changing requirements and ad-hoc issues.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including finance, IT, and implementation partners.
Self-motivated and resourceful, with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; project management experience or a PMP certificate considered an asset.
Practical knowledge of IFRS is an asset.
Join us and contribute to the ongoing success of our finance team. Together, we will drive our finance systems transformation forward and achieve new heights of excellence.
