Job description

OASYS, INC., a Leading Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking applicants for a Jr-Mid Level Software Developer to support our DoD customer on Redstone Arsenal.

Job Responsibilities include: The Jr-Mid Level Software Engineer will work closely with a highly technical team of product managers, systems and software engineers and scientists developing advanced software capabilities and technical solutions for a mission planning system. Principal Duties and Responsibilities include the design, development, test, and implementation of state-of-the-art software/systems platforms and integration components based to support building secure, high-performing web application and systems integration components to address complex and evolving mission planning requirements within a high velocity Agile environment; analysis of user's software program needs and assist in troubleshooting; the design and development of software using basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems; and the implementation of pillars of DevSecOps to mature Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of software design experience
  • Experience with JavaScript or Typescript or other web technologies/services
  • An understanding of basic software design based on Object Oriented Programming principles
  • Some knowledge/experience with application programming interfaces.
  • Experience with current operating systems and development tools (i.e. JIRA, BitBucket)
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds including government and external industry personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Good understanding or have worked with Vue or other modern framework, like React or Angular.
  • Experience with using a development environment such as VSCode
  • Understanding of Git or some other code version control and tools

Required Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline, however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
