As a Plant Engineering Systems and Controls Engineer/Technologist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Providing effective control system solutions to a variety of new and existing automated process equipment
  • Developing and designing the control system architecture
  • Selecting hardware and providing software to run new process equipment
  • Providing machine installation and commissioning
  • Working in a team environment to successfully meet project milestones
  • Specify and provide training for the Plant Engineering department

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Associate degree/Technical Diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institute and six (6) years of experience working with machine process control system design and commissioning in a private, public, government, or military environment.

-OR-
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and four (4) combined years of experience working with machine process control system design and commissioning in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • One (1) year of experience within a manufacturing setting
  • Five (5) years of experience in Manufacturing Operations
  • Industrial control systems design and install experience, including safety circuits and plant building controls
  • Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation - ControlLogix/CompactLogix PLCs, PC HMI's, PanelView, AVEVA Intouch HMI and Historian programming, Variable Speed Drive, flow, pressure, level, and temperature instrumentation installation and programming, sensor technology, software, and data generation
  • Experience with National Electrical Code

  • Cumberland, WI

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
