Position Start: Immediately
Position Summary: MILVETS is currently seeking a full-time Software Engineer Mid-Level, eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance and preferably holding CompTIA Security+ certification, who will be responsible for supporting USAF Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB, NM.
Must have US Citizenship. The company will not sponsor work visas for this role.
Tech Stack:

  • Django Framework (Python, SQL, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS)
  • Gitlab YAML pipeline for testing, release generation, and test environment deployment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance existing backend services and web applications.
  • Research and implement new development ideas and improvements.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and best practices.
  • Help maintain and improve automated testing processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack.
  • Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Ensure software standards are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python.
  • Experience with Linux bash scripting and working in Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of Git and version control workflows.
  • Experience troubleshooting applications and debugging issues.
  • Ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation.

Desired:
  • Experience with C# and windows development.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (Django, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS).
  • Understanding CI/CD pipelines, particularly Gitlab YAML configuration.
  • Experience with SQL database design.

Education / Certifications Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in one of the following fields:
  • Information Technology (IT)
  • Cybersecurity
  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Data Science
  • Software Engineering

OR
In lieu of a degree, one or more of the following certifications will be accepted:
  • CISSP-ISSAP
  • GSEC
  • CSSLP

Clearance:
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance
